There is a fascinating and disturbing story behind the band Mayhem:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mayhem_(band)Brief synopsis:Dead (his name), the lead singer, killed himself by slashing his wrists and neck and then shooting himself in the forehead with a shotgun.Dead was then found and photographed by a fellow band member, Euronymous.Euronymous then distributed Dead's skull fragments on neclaces to a select group of people that he deemed worthy, and used the photos of his deceased friend as his next album cover.Then Euronymous was murdered (stabbed in the forehead) by another band-mate, Varg Vikernes.I always wondered what they were doing when they weren't burning ancient wooden churches, and now I know!
