consultancy aimed at providing strategic answers for any organization
targeting the 13-24 year old demographic. NRG Solutions is different
because we put youth at the centre of problem-solving. Rather than
asking youth their opinion on preordained solutions, at NRG we let
the youth create solutions. And the results are catching fire. Two
recent examples:
Kellogg's
wanted to re-launch Apple Jacks cereal to be authentic and relevant
to their market. NRG helped by creating a forum through which their
target market (kids) could tell them what they wanted, while gaining
valuable business, marketing and media experience. NRG Solutions
and Kellogg's developed a strategy that involved a cross-country
team of 21 kids, linked by technology and the Internet, who are
shaping every element of the brand.

The
Charity.ca Youth Corps Project was a 4-month grass roots youth
initiative implemented to promote awareness of Charity.ca and plant
the seeds of on-line charitable giving across Canada. NRG Solutions
recruited, hired and mobilized nine teams of university students
across Canada to connect charities in their communities with on-line
donating. These "Goodwill Hunters" contacted over 11,000
charities and were responsible for over 2000 charities being registered
or in the process of registering with Charity.ca.
